Ansbach, Germany explosion triggered by 27-year-old asylum seeker
Berlin: One person has been killed and 12 injured in an explosion in Ansbach, near the German city of Nuremberg, with some officials saying it may not have been an accident.A police spokesman said the person killed in the blast had a backpack and was likely carrying an explosive device and acted alone.

A man was killed and 10 injured when an explosion went off next to an open-air music festival in Ansbach, Germany, leading to the evacuation of over 2000 people in nearby Nuremberg.Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the man had tried to kill himself on prior occasions and had been treated at a psychiatric clinic.
"We don't know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others," Herrmann added.
The blast was first reported at 10.12pm on Sunday.
